TRANSFER TEXT

"God will use you to make the lives of others better."

We had a dinner out in this tiny town that was about 40 minutes away from town and it was snowing so much, so that was kinda crazy it felt like I was back in my old area which was fun. The family out there had about 15 kids running around and I was so confused how they kept just popping out of no where. Planning for the wedding: hahaha this was lots of fun, first we had to interview them to see if they could get baptized, which was insanely stressful because they hardly speak any spanish but it went over well... except something extremely weird happened that I probably shouldn't put on here... if you really want to know just email me hahaha. Then we had to get there pant, size shirt size, favorite colors, shoe size, and a bunch of other stuff. If you think that's easy it's not, idk why it's so hard. It's all planned for this Saturday at 5. We had a great turn out to our volleyball night on Friday, we had so many latinos show up and tons of kid right after volleyball all the kids were planning me in basketball.  All of Saturday my comp was sick which really sucked we just sat there all day and I was going crazy. But that night we got the Transfer text and my comp and I are both staying which is crazy because we'll be together for 3 transfers. If you are wondering how long that is it's 5 and a half months we were super excited. Sunday, was a very eventful day, we had 6 people show up to church, one of them being English speaking.  We had a great sacrament meeting, and then there was the second hour... let's just say religious freedom and investigators don't go together. So we just took them out and talked about faith! In the spanish branch we helped set up for the 2 baptisms we had and the big dinner we were throwing after it. Crazy fun week.  Last but not least GO CHIEFS!!! It's a miracle, I think we get to watch the super bowl!!!

SNOW STORM

 SNOW STORM

“To become a better follower of the Savior Jesus Christ is a lifelong journey and we are all in different stages, moving at a different pace.”   Ciro Schmei

Yes we actually had a real snow storm! We got about 6 inches of snow in one day. It was really amazing and it felt like I was in Utah again except for they take took 2 days to snowplow the main roads. This week has been extremely slow, Everyone kinda flaked on us all week.  We have the wedding and baptism all figured out for February 4th.  We got to hangout with the youth in church which was really nice. Today we get to go to the asylum museum.  So that'll be cool.  I have a very interesting contact with this guy named Lucino the second we walked in the door he gave us puppies to hold and said we could take them home. Sadly we can't have animals but I'm thinking I might take one and keep him for my whole mission I'll just hide it in my suit case. We had a presidents meeting on Wednesday and next week I'll know if I'm getting transferred so that's kinda crazy.

THE TEMPLE

THE TEMPLE

"As you obey, the impressions from the spirit will come more frequently, becoming closer and closer to constant companionship."  Henry B. Eyring

This one's going to be short because I just had pday 4 days ago. But a lot happened in those 4 days. To start out we had an exchange with the zone leaders. That was so much fun and also really hard. Because the zone leader came to my area and he didn't know Spanish So it was just me who partly spoke spanish. But it was good, we found a couple people and passed out a couple book of Mormons. It was a little rough but all the Hispanics love when you're trying to speak Spanish. Then we had our first Volleyball night. That was really really fun and a pretty good turn out.  Hector was playing hype mexican music the whole time and all the latinos were having a blast! The Temple. It was so good to go back and see the temple again. We also went to this ranch after with a bunch of alpacas and goats and horses.  It was so much fun and the alpacas are so soft.

FAMOUS

“God uses trails to shape us into the type of people we have to be in order to fully enjoy the future opportunities he has prepared for us.”

Sorry everyone I forgot to tell you last week that my P-day is changed this week it's because we get to go to the temple today. To start out I just want to say my comp and I are famous in the spanish world.  We got a text about a week ago saying someone wanted to interview us. So we said yeah for sure let us know what time and where. They said Monday night at 6:00 on this weird website. So we went to the church and hoped on the interview and it was the LIVE NEWS for latinos in Kansas City. We were interviewed in front of everyone for English class. I was dying because I don't even know spanish and I was on Live spanish TV. What else happened this week? We had another Baptism in our Branch which was awesome. We also have lots of people that are so close to baptism. We're planning a wedding for one of our friends, and hopefully baptizing them the same day just 30 minutes after!

FULL OF MIRACLES

"The Lord is in the details of our lives."

This week was full of miracles.  We found so many people and had a crazy busy week.  The holidays are finally over which is extremely nice. It got up to 45 degrees this week and the sun was out for most of the week.  So happy to be able to speak Spanish and get to know the Hispanic culture a little bit more.  For sure some interesting people no doubt but also some very awesome and down to earth people. I said the first vision in front of someone in spanish for the first time. Here are the miracles from this week. We found 7 people this week and they are all super interested.  We had 6 of those people show up to church which was a blessing. One  of those 6 just showed up unexpectedly, and said he wants to learn more and get baptized. Things are looking up here in St Joseph. The other 5 people that went to church is a big family from Guatemala. They don't speak much Spanish but they really want to learn more and hopefully get baptized pretty soon. New years was kind boring because nobody in my house wanted to stay up.  I still woke up at 12 and cheered a tiny bit!
