LAST ZONE CONFERENCE WITH PRESIDENT

"There will always be more blessings than burdens- even if some days it doesn't seem so."  Jeffrey R. Holland

This week was wild.  We had our last zone conference with our president and he was so sad... but that just means a new ones coming in this week.  I'm super excited and can't wait to see the new energy in the mission. This week went really quick and honestly don't know much of what happened. We found a lot of new people that actually want to learn more, so that's super fun to text them. This week we had lots of meeting and lots of new things come in the mission. This week we got to go to liberty jail after church which was super fun to see again. I haven't been there since I got to the mission.  Also went fishing this morning and caught 2 fish!! Pretty dope!

PASS ALONG CARD CHALLENGE

“Just when all seems to be going right, challenges ofter come.  But they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more."  Richard G. Scott

This week was alright, we found about a million people again but none of them showed up to church... so hopefully by next week that can change. This week was really fun, we got to go to the temple on Thursday which was super super nice and then of course we went to McDonald's and got some ice cream.  Saturday we did this  fun challenge with everything in the district to see who could find and handout the most pass along cards in 45 minutes, everyone went crazy in that 45 minutes, we found 5 people and passed about about 100 pass along cards.  We went to this tienda that literally had so many latinos it was insane.  We might go there every Saturday now. I kept asking people why everyone goes to this store and they just said they have the best fresh meat. So I guess if I want some good meat I have to go there. To finish off the week I got to play soccer with all these Hispanic kids. They were having a blast and kept saying they want me to come back and play tomorrow... sadly my comp wasn't super excited for that. But we'll see what happens!

UP AND DOWNS

"There are very few big and spectacular miracles in most of our lives But it is a quiet multitude of little miracles that makes life sweet and adds to our testimonies.    -Marjorie P. Hinckley

This week was very up and down. We had multiple long days and multiple fast days.  But we did see people that are trying to progress and we found lots of new people. We ate a lot of really good food at members houses this week. We tried to get many people to church and none of them showed up so sad... we had a couple unexpected visitors that came so that was really cool. This whole week just felt like a blur. We did get to meet our new district this Friday. Transfers were this week, but because I moved a week early nothing happened to me and my comp... Sunday we saw crazy miracles and actually ran into someone that we were trying to get his address but he didn't even know what it was. We somehow knocked on his door out of everyone in Kansas City Kansas, it was pretty insane. Last but not least last night our mission had a devotional online, and Brother Reed the chiefs head coach was the speaker. It was the greatest devotional ever.  He talked about determination, family, and working hard. Then we got to ask questions for the last 30 minutes! He hates Utah just as much as I do, and he's a smart guy so maybe more people need to listen to him. He talked about his time at BYU and his conversion story. I had no clue he was a convert.  It was our last big devotional with our president.

PACK UP

(KANSAS CITY KANSAS)

"GO FORWARD IN LIFE WITH A TWINKLE IN YOUR EYE AND A SMILE ON YOUR FACE, BUT WITH GREAT AND STRONG PURPOSE IN YOUR HEART."

GORDAN B HINKLEY

Well this week was wild! Started out pretty normal with a couple lessons and services hoping to get more people at church. Then Tuesday night I got a call from my mission president and he Told me I'm leaving my area the next day and to pack up!! I was kinda in shock that moment, and didn't even realize that he told me I was going back Spanish speaking but that's airtight... anyway the last day in Tiffany Springs I visited everyone I possibly could and that night I was gone. It was kinda insane. Packing really sucked but everything else was alright haha. So now I'm in Kansas City Kansas which is super dope. I feel like I'm back at cottonwood, except nobody speaks English... like literally nobody. I don't know why it is but everyone speaks Spanish. It's pretty insane. Lucky for me my comp knows less spanish than me. I've been kinda dying.  It's been probably one of the hardest changes ever.  But the Spanish are so nice and always open the door and talk to you they don't always follow through with what they say but that's airtight haha. My new comp is Elder Naylor, and he's the complete opposite of me so it'll be a very different transfer. These past 4 days here in Kaw River we found 10 people and 4 actually followed through with a lesson on sunday.  My first dinner here was with a family that didn't speak any spanish and I had give a spiritual thought... I kinda feel bad but it was my first time speaking Spanish again. The food was so good so it was worth it. It's crazy by next month our mission will change completely because we'll have the new mission president!!

Pictures:
- last pday we had a tetherball tournament so that was pretty sick!
- we had a crazy hard service project! We were putting insulation into a chicken coop house thing... it was like 1000 degrees in the house!! But it was sill pretty fun

- During the Emergency Transfer I got to see Elder Flickinger again!! It was so good to reunite for a little!!
- some pics of my new comp! Also everything is so green and there's like 1000 trees in Kansas it's so cool!
