THATS IT FOR KAW RIVER

"God rarely moves the mountains in front of us but He always helps us climb them."

And that's it for Kaw River. This next week I will be leaving Kaw River and going Somewhere else... I'm pretty sad to leave this ward and all these friends we made. Keep praying for Juan Sánchez to get baptized on September 9th he's seriously the best guy ever and is changing his whole life around.  This week was super super busy with meetings and driving and all sorts of fun stuff. We had zone conference this week with Elder Wong from the 70, and he was pretty cool.  The best part of this week was soccer. We had lots of people and it was a grind for a whole hour.  I'm going to miss all these activities and especially playing soccer. This transfer went crazy fast and we did so much work. My spanish improved the most this transfer, but it's still not where I want it to be so I will keep working on it.  Last week for pday we did water kick ball with the whole zone.  We went to the best BBQ place in Kansas City. It's called KC Joe's! It was really good.  We also got on TV once again so that's dope.

YEAR MARK

"Let your narrative be one of faith, following your Exemplar, The Savior Jesus Christ."

Do not want to write today! Got Juan Sánchez to stop smoking. Pray for him. It's  been a crazy fast week! Also hit my year mark this week so that's cool.

CHANGING THE FOCUS

"Keep your chin up, trust in God, and believe in good things to come."  Jeffrey R. Holland

This week was kinda interesting, we did lots of good things and it went pretty fast,  but it was also very tiring. It all started with presidents interviews. It's so weird having a new president. Everything is different now, the interviews went really good, and honestly I love the new president.  We've been having some problems on the phone so they cracked down on people... lots of missionaries do not like the new president just because of that reason. He is super cool and has been changing the focus of the mission completely.  This week we had another Sunday where our building ward closed because of the bat but we still got 1 person to come to church with us. We drove in a members car for 30 minutes and it was so good for the investigator. They're now like best friends and have been texting each other.  Juan Sánchez is the one that came to church, he's on Date for the 26th! Pray that he can stop smoking! He said he is determined to do it so I know God will help him. This week we also had a couple of cool lessons.  One of the best things that happened this week was getting 10 free ice creams.  I just I got the magical stick that said 10 paletas gratis, so I didn't even have to pay and I got 10 homemade ice cream bars for free.

Pictures:

MIRACLE AFTER MIRACLE

"Find something good to appreciate in every day, and you will be rewarded with a life filled with magic and wonder."

This week was actually so insane. We saw miracle after miracle.  It all started on Tuesday when we went out to lunch with this member from and different ward and she brought us the best BBQ I've ever had in my life.  The ribs were crazy insane, it literally just fell off the bone clean.  She told me a lot about the independence mission and why it's so special and it's actually insane that I'm in zion and that our mission is literally called the Alpha and Omega because of the start of Satan's major ministry to when he's going to get chained down in the last days.  My mind was absolutely blown away.  Anyway we found this guy named Juan Sanchez this week and he was so excited to meet with us.  We went over 2 other times with a member and put him on Date for baptism on the 26th of August.  Let me tell you Saturday was straight miracles we had a lesson at 3:00 with Juan and he was still at work till 5, but we had a member with us so we went and visited this random house nearby and right as we pulled up she was walking out her door to leave and she was so excited to see us.  We shared a quick message and went over the next day and she had her son and daughter sit in on the lessons, and the son literally loved it so much.  Then she gave us another person to visit who really loved us too.  After those 2 visits we had a lesson on the phone with this lady that lives in Florida and she said she wants to get baptized.  She doesn't get back for a couple weeks! I seriously can't believe how God has the greatest plan and it's so perfect.  After those 3 lessons we went back to Juan's and he was home and we put him on Date for the 26th of Aug.  This was all on an exchange with my ZL as well and he didn't speak spanish... so the member really just carried us.  Sunday was pretty rough, our building has bats inside so we didn't have church... for those of you at home that would be the greatest Sunday, but on the mission it sucks so much.  None of our friends could go to church and it was so last minute... but Sunday was still a good day and we had tons of lessons with a member.  It was just super fun to see how happy the members were going around for an 1 or 2 just helping us out! Then at night we went and did the sacrament at my favorite members place it was super cool experience.

PRAY FOR HIM "Unbelief blocks our ability to see miracles, whereas a mindset of faith in the Savior unlocks the powers of heaven.  -El...
