PLAYING SOCCER AGAIN

"Counsel with the LORD in all thy doings and He will direct thee for Good."

There goes another stake conference... which was kinda crazy because I'm the the same stake so I got to see all the old people from Trenton.  It was actually amazing to see them again and all the tongans were there also so that was amazing.  It was a really fun Sunday and super nice to have church in English again ahhh! This week was interesting we had a lot of ups and downs... we lost our two people on Date which was super sad, but we found a whole bunch of people, and hopefully we can get some people progressing! We also had Exchanges this week with the zone leaders. It was good except for all of our lessons didn't work out!  We are starting soccer night on Wednesday, and I'm  so excited that I get to play soccer again. We are seeing a ton of interest, so hopefully everyone comes.

OUT OF NOWHERE

"If there is a Goliath in front of you, that means there's a David inside you."

Well this week has been pretty wild.  As you read last week, I got a new comp! It was so sad to say goodbye to Elder Flickinger, and going and seeing all the people we taught together for so long. It's going to be a good next transfer and I'm excited to see all our people progress. Some highlights from this week. First we went to the temple to watch baptisms for the dead with new converts. The branch had another 2 baptisms on Saturday, plus we got dinner after! We also had an amazing member dinner with the Corrales's and they made some Ceviche, it was so good!  When we were knocking doors we heard 2 gun shots super close by and then policemen flew by, so that's always fun! We found a couple really awesome people, and we had a crazy miracle and found an inactive member out of nowhere!

Now for pics:

BIG NEWS

"When we turn our lives over to the Lord, the power behind us is always greater than the obstacles before us."      Sheri Dew

It's all over for me and Elder Flickinger.  It has been a crazy 4 month and 3 transfers and we've been loving it so much, it's going to be so sad this week to finally have to say goodbye.  The BIG NEWS is that I'm staying here in St Joseph for another transfer.  It's going to be my 4th transfer here which is ¼ of my mission. It's going to be really hard without flickinger but I was super happy to see that I was staying in my area. This next week I will be getting my new companion so that's a little stressful... please pray for me that my companion will like basketball. Other than that this week has kinda flown by.  We had a couple awesome lessons with some friends but nothing to exciting. I did get to go on another exchange and went to the boonies which was so fun and it made me miss Trenton! But we got to hangout with the YSA while I was on the exchange and it reminded me of when I was back at home and my dad dragged me into coming to his YSA ward... but we did get fed so it was totally worth it, and got to play uno believe it or not I was so good at uno that night, I think it might be because I speak spanish... who knows? We also had a cool miracle where we went driving around and found this random house that looked like Hispanics lived there because it still had christmas lights up, and the window trim was green, and to our surprise it was a cubano he was so happy we were there, he said he wants to start coming to church. His house was also 85 degrees and we were sweating the whole lesson. I cut my comps hair and another Elders hair this week and I felt like a professional!! (My mom would be proud) I think that's all I got for this week, next week might be interesting super excited to stay in St Joseph one more transfer!!

POWERFUL LESSON

"By helping others come unto Him you will find you have come unto Him yourself."     Henry B. Eyeing

What an awesome week but also a sad week. To start off we had meetings with the president which was really awesome and kinda told us what he's thinking about for transfers which is scary.  For any of you that don't know I've been in the same area with the same companion For almost 4 1/2 months so it'll be very sad if one of us leave... but we don't know till next week.  Then we had volleyball night which was once again such a great success and lots of fun to see all the latinos that are coming and a great way to get people in the church! We spent all Saturday teaching people and hanging out with Hector!  The highlight was our last lesson with Julia and José.  We found these people knocking doors about a week ago and we had a super powerful lesson on baptism and the gift of the Holy ghost, they were so excited and felt the spirit so strong we invited them to be baptized on the 25 of March and they said yes, It wad crazy to see how happy and excited they were to be baptized by the correct power and authority.  Julia is having a baby in the next couple months so it's going to be so cool to see them all sealed together for eternity. Can't wait to keep teaching them and keep progressing them to that baptismal date. This sunday was kinda rough, because we had multiple people bail but we also saw so many miracles.  First our friend Devon who we baptized right when we got here finally got the opportunity to pass the sacrament and it was so awesome to see his smile when he was passing it.  Then we went to the spanish branch and our friend Diego who recently got baptized received the priesthood.  We went to hectors to see his new cow.  His name is Hanky because he's blond and Hector said he wants to remeber me! So that's kinda funny!
