Halloween

This week was wild. First off it's freezing cold and so now we have to wear coats and hats and gloves, and nobody likes to open their door because the heat gets out of their house and so many other fun things. The nice part about it is there's a bunch of ward parties and activities that we get to go to. I have a feeling this winter is going to be a lot colder than last winter. We had a couple fun activities this week, started out with pumpkin carving and then basketball which was a blast, then we had a Halloween party it was actually pretty insane. The costumes were the best part by far. This week we had zone conference which was alright, just a lot of meetings like usual. A mission without the meetings would be so much better.  Sitting in metal chairs for 6 hours is never a good idea. Hopefully we will have some more people to teach in the future!

This week was so interesting in so many ways.  Started out with murder mystery night... such an interesting Monday night. Some activities in the YSA are awesome and some of them are very questionable. But it's ok because tonight we're pumpkin carving which is so much better.  This week we met with so many recent converts and it's cool seeing their testimony grow as they remember what the church is all about! If you have any recent converts help them remember the lessons because they forget everything after a couple weeks.  It's been a lot of fun reminding them of that spirit they felt when the missionaries first came over.  Then our boy Michael Taylor the 2nd, this man is probably the funniest person ever.  He was chilling in a park and we went up to him and he said he was a genius that sold crak for a living and he is also homeless! But he was still a very nice and friendly man that rapped for us before we left and said he's trying to be a rap star. He has true potential for sure. I would send the video in but it's a little bit pg13 so my parents might not be so happy... Wednesday I was able to reunite with one of my favorite missionaries elder Carman and it was such a good time. I love seeing people that I'm so close with on the mission.  Later that night we went to this house to go see if this person was home, and she was not... so as we started driving to the next house a cop was following us for about 10 minutes and then finally pulled his over for going over 2 lanes even though we had too... and he gave us a warning which was dumb. Lucky enough I wasn't driving, but he really pulled us over because that house we went to was a drug addict house.  He was checking if we had drugs,  I couldn't stop laughing.  Then yesterday we went downtown with a member because we were trying to find some people.  Bunch of chiefs fans that were drunk and tons of super dope cars. Sadly we didn't see any players but it was fun to be downtown for the night!

SPIRITUAL WEEK 

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure everything out on your own.  Listen for Gods voice in everything you do, everywhere you go.”            Proverbs 3:5-6

We had the chance to teach a lot of people and helped some non-actives come to church which was so cool.  The coolest story was with Izzy, and Izzy has been down a very dark path, but we went over randomly after doing some list work, and he said he's been wanting to change his life. We had 3 of the most powerful lessons with him and he came back to church and is meeting with our stake president tomorrow. It's actually so cool. It testified to me how real the atonement of Jesus Christ is. We also had transfers this week and it was fun to see who went where.  Our zone didn't change to much, but we got a lot of new spanish elders. 

SOLID TESTIMONY

 This week was pretty quick. Had a couple fun exchanges with some old friends including Elder Flickinger. It was so much fun going out with him again and being comps for a couple hours. We also got some news about transfers me and my comp are staying here for another transfer.  This transfer is only going to be 5 weeks so It'll be good. I'm excited to keep working with the branch and all the YSA. And of course go to all the activities during the week is always a bonus.  Also got to teach a couple lessons this week which makes things go a lot smoother.  I'm going to miss a lot of missionaries that are leaving after this transfer, but I'm excited to see what other elders are going to come into our zone.  We put sergio on Date for November 12 so please pray for him that he will be able to come to church and actually grow a solid testimony.

GENERAL CONFERENCE

"Do things for people not because of who they are, or what they do in return, but because of who you are."

 This week went pretty fast for the most part. I got to go through the temple 2 times this week which was awesome and we had a fun activity with some of the mission last Tuesday.  The temple was so beautiful and I got talk walk around the whole thing looking at pictures.  I had an exchange with Elder Sgattone and he's hilarious.  He is super old in the mission and is probably the funniest guy ever.  Been a wild p-day this week and honestly has gone so fast. General conference was so much fun We got to relax a little bit and watch it with a bunch of members.
