PRAY FOR HIM

"Unbelief blocks our ability to see miracles, whereas a mindset of faith in the Savior unlocks the powers of heaven.  -Elder Larry S. Kasher

This week kinda just flew right past me and was also like 103° every day for 3 days straight!  I've never sweated so much in my life than changing a popped tire with 100% humidity and in dress clothes.  We had some fun yesterday, there was a crazy rain storm and we hangout with members for like an hour last night just talking about the Book of Mormon it was pretty sweet and right before that we visited with a boy named ALEX!! PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM. He's actually so dope, he's been to church 3 times already. He's getting baptized on the 19th of August 🤞

LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE

"Angels are still sent to help us....both the heavenly and

the earthly kind."

This is it! I never have to write a weekly email again! That might be the best part about going home hahaha. This week was a lot of ups and downs but overall it ended well.  The beginning of the week was extremely rough with a lot of our people not going through with lessons and some moving out of state and stuff like that. We also gave 2 of our on Dates to the sisters because they are getting baptized the Saturday right after we leave. But this weekend was a blast, Calvin was baptized!!! I've been teaching Calvin for 8 months now and he was finally able to get baptized, it was one of the best baptisms ever.  Everything went so smoothly and I was able to baptize him which was so cool. Then Sunday was extremely sad because we were supposed to have 6 people and for the whole first hour nobody showed up.  Luckily we have sacrament meeting for the 2nd hour and during the sacrament I was praying so hard that at least 1 person would come, and the next thing you know I looked behind us and our Ulisis was there with his mom and sister.  It was an answer to my prayers for sure.  Ulisis is on Date for this Saturday so fingers crossed that he can make that date.  Then Sunday night we saw so many miracles.  We found 5 new people and one of them was reading for 30 minutes as we knocked all the other apartment doors he was just sitting on the stairs reading the whole time it was awesome. Well I hope everyone has enjoyed my silly weekly emails it's truly been the most life changing experience I have ever had! I couldn't have asked for anything more beneficial for my life! I've learned what life is truly about and how real God is! And yes he is a God of Miracles and works through people like us to perform his miracles! It's been a wild ride and I am so extremely grateful for all the support and all the love everyone has shown me these past two years! I love the Lord with all my heart and can honestly tell you with everything inside me that the church is true and the book of mormon is the word of God!!

SMALL MIRACLES THAT REMIND

US HE IS THERE

"Be the reason someone feels welcomed, seen, heard, valued, loved and supported."

Another week down and my favorite people got married, Calvin and Macee got married on Saturday and they looked so happy. I taught Calvin for about 7 months in my old area, and he wants to get baptized so bad but he had to get married first. So now he will be getting baptized this Saturday and I'm lucky enough to go to the baptism. We also had a baptism on Saturday which was awesom.  Hector got baptized and it was such an amazing experience, his wife had been a member for a long time and so it was cool to see how excited they both were that he was making this decision.  One of the coolest parts about the baptism was the testimonies while they were changing, Sister Carpenter got up and shared her testimony and then she told Hector that ever single one of her kids was praying for Hector the last 2 weeks. It was so cool to see how supportive the members have been and how powerful prayer is. That was probably one of the easiest baptisms I've ever had. He had no doubts, problems, nothing. And I believe it was because of all the prayers for him.  Sunday was also a great day, we had a rough start and not a lot of people came to church. But later on Sunday night we were extremely low on new people to teach and the Lord just put us directly in a path to find 6 new people in like 30 minutes, it was crazy how the Lord just waits till the last second so that we can learn grow and have to lean on him, and right when we feel like nothing is going our way he performs a small miracle that reminds us he is there.

BACK TO SPANISH

"God will use you to make the lives of others better."  Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Hello everyone sorry I didn't get one or last week it idk what Happened. My pday is today because we get to go to the temple for the last time as a missionary.  We are going to play ball right after with a bunch of other elders.  This week was really weird, being back in spanish and with Elder Flickinger is extremely weird. It's like I'm repeating the start of my mission all over again. But this week we had some really cool miracles happen, most of them Happened on Sunday. The whole week was extremely long and we were trying to hard to find new poeple to teach and by Sunday we were only at half our goal that we set. Then Sunday we were blessed with so many people just placed in our path. Everyone we ran into was ready to recieve the gospel.  We found 11 new people on Sunday and put 1 of them on date. We are going to have another wedding and then baptism the last week we're here the girlfriend speaks French so it's going to be just like Diego and Michaela at the very beginning of our mission.  We had our last zone conference last Tuesday and me and Elder Flickinger did the musical number. It was the highlight of everyone's zone conference... it was hilarious and everyone in the mission now has a video of Elder Flickinger and me singing Nearer my God to thee 🤣  We also had to give our Departing Testimonies that zone conference as well which was wild. The 4th of July was alright, Holidays on the mission are just not the same. But we watched some fireworks and counted how many people lit off fireworks in the middle of the day. There were so many people! We stopped counting after 20. The best part about the 4th of July is all the latinos have it off but they have no clue why so we were able to teach a lot of people that day!

GOAL SIX BAPTISM SIX WEEKS

"Your faith will grow not by CHANCE. but by CHOICE."

Alright this is the biggest miracle I've seen in a long time, Elder Flickinger and I are comps once again! We will have done 6 months together in total 3 at the very beginning of my mission and 1 for my last transfer! It was a shock for the both of us because we are both going home after these 6 weeks! But the Lord knows what he's doing and we are going to make this the best transfer yet! I'm also back in spanish land after being in enlgish for 10½ months! That part is extremely rusty but I'm excited to start remember more and more in spanish! Me and Flickinger made a goal to have 6 baptisms for the next 6 weeks! Last week we had a crazy miracle! Lewis was a friend on Date for next week and the first lesson we had with him he told us that he wanted to get baptized this week instead of next week! And it worked out perfectly! The next day he had his interview and passed it! So he got baptized on Saturday and loves the church! He also can't pronounce my name and it's hilarious! He always says Elder Hannns. We also put felix on Date for July 13th and have a baptism planned next week!! Its going so well and my dreams came true being with Elder flickinger so I'm living the life right now!

MY LAST TRANSFER

"Look for opportunities to be kind to encourage, compliment, help out, cheer for, praise, have faith in, mentor and lift up those who need your light."

This week was pretty wild.  We had a bunch of meeting this week and had to do the transfer meeting, And yes I'm leaving for my last transfer.  I'm going back spanish speaking after 10½ months out of it... it might be a little rusty but that's alright I'm still so excited! I am starting to say goodbye to all these amazing people I've been teaching which has been extremely hard. But someone I've been teaching for 6 months finally came to church and he loved it. I will for sure come visit him after the mission.  James got the priesthood this week and is now able to go to the temple, that was really awesome to see how excited and happy he was. I went to my favorite place Texas Roadhouse with president and sister Sommerfeldt after the big transfer meeting which was super fun. The craziest thing that happened this last week was Wednesday night.  We had to drop missionaries off at the airport, but they were supposed to already have there bags checked but then something didn't work, so we had to stay the night at the hotel and didn't get to bed till 12:00 and had to wake up at 2:30 to take 4 missionaries to the airport.  It was a wild night and the next morning I could barely even open my eyes.

 COULD USE SOME PRAYERS

"Let your narrative be one of faith, follow your exemplar, The Savior Jesus Christ."

This week was a long week. We had a good start and it kinda went downhill from there.  But I was able to go up to farwest on an exchange which was awesome.  Went with Elder Daynes who is going home with me. It was our 3rd exchange together on the mission.  D'moni passed her baptismal interview but needs a lot of prayers right now.  We're trying to get her baptized this Saturday but it's not looking too good. I'm excited for this next week because I get to see where I'm going and who my next comp is going to be! Pray that I go spanish and that I will be with Elder Flickinger.  The family we're teaching could use some prayers as well because they are going to start living the Word of Wisdom by Saturday.
