TRANSFERS

"The Lord loves effort, because effort brings rewards that can't come without it."

This week was so good we got to work in our area a little more and also got to figure out transfers which is fun but also a hassle haha. I'll start with work in the area. We had another baptism this week, I got the opportunity to actually baptize her as well which was awesome. Her name is Frankie and she has the cutest baby ever everything went really well except the water was freezing cold because the building we go to is so old, but it makes you remember it more I guess. We also had mid trainers this week where we got to hear all the new missionaries teach a lesson. It was so much fun, the new missionaries have the most energy for sure.  Then we took 2 missionaries to the airport because they were going to their original assignments which was Mexico, we had to wake up at 2:30 in the morning to get them to the airport which was no fun hahaha. Last thing TRANSFERS, I'm staying in the same area with the same companion for the 3rd transfer but I get to drop off a couple of my homies at the airport next week which will be good.

We had an extremely spiritual lesson with Stephen he prayed for the first time in his adult life he was crying and it was insane, he said he's never felt better!

SEE HOW MUCH DIRECTION THE LORD GIVES US

"Kick off worldly influences and trust the spirit."

This week was pretty fun we were able to go on multiple exchanges with the missionaries. I started out with my boy Elder Kovacs from the MTC which was nice to talk with him again and see how far we've come since the last time we were together. I was also able to go with my favorite companion Elder Flickinger for a day and it was a blast we went into the spanish area and there were so many memories that came back. It was fun seeing how far we've come from the beginning of our mission, it was weird being able to actually speak spanish with him!  We found a couple people and put someone on date and it made me miss spanish so much, I love the Hispanic Culture.  I was also able to go to one of my Old areas which was incredible we had a crazy cool experience where this lady got super mad at us for knocking on her door and then we told her we were just trying to make her day better, and she completely broke down crying and told us that we looked like a beam of light and that she knew we were sent from God, and that she knew we were going to come that day. It was wild and insanely cool to see how much direction the Lord gives us.  We also got to spend a little more time in our own area this week. We found 10 new and one of them got put on Date for April. His name is James and he is the funniest guy ever.  He loved 2nd hour and talked so much. He loves the chiefs and we told him Andy Ried was a member and he went crazy, he kept telling us it was a sign from God and that he knows the church is true. It was pretty dang hilarious!

  A LIVING PROPHET

“Listen for God’s voice in everything you do and everywhere you go; He’s the one that will keep you on track.”  Proverbs 3:6

This week was crazy Tuesday-Friday were all meetings every single one of them we had to train. Started out with a mission leadership meeting which was pretty fun because we get to see all our homies and of course we played basketball that morning! On Monday we had 8 of us over at presidents house, and then Tuesday morning we got up at 5:00 and played ball for 3 hours!  After Tuesday we 3 days of zone conference zone conference is always fun to see everyone and talk with all the missionaries.  I was able to get a lot out of it and learned a ton about the atonement of Jesus Christ which was awesome. I also had to give a training by myself on Tuesday because my companion was throwing up all day. That was not so much fun and I was pretty dang nervous. After all of that we had a full day of lessons on Saturday.  We had about 10 lessons and 5 of then were with recent converts we did Come Follow Me with all of them and showed them the video of how Satan tries to disguise himself as something he's really not, and then explaining to them why it's so important to listen to a living prophet, it really helped me recognize how important a living prophet is and how much it changes people's lives.  We played some Simon says but instead of Simon we said Prophet says the kids loved it.  We had a baptismal interview for our friend Armondo and he is getting baptized this next Saturday.  We also had an incredible church experience, we had about 9 friends come to church and one of them bore testimony it was insane, His name is David Hunt. He is in an automotive wheelchair and drove it all the way to church from his house which is like a mile away. He talked about how the Elders have come to his house and invited him to pray about if this church is true and he never received an answer, but then he went on to say that God doesn't always answer you in the way you think he will, then said that the song How great thou Art was played before sacrament meeting and he knew that this was the correct church. He told everyone that he wanted to be baptized in this church. Me and my companion were shocked! The spirit worked hard on him.  This week was very eventful and it felt good to actually get outside and work.
