 7th Day Adventist Church

"Remember everyday some ordinary person does something extraordinary, Today its your turn."

Kinda crazy but we might have a tornado tonight! Kinda fun if I actually wake up! This week has been kinda all over the place.  We first had an exchange and I was with Elder Evans,  He did come to the spanish area and so I had to try and speak as much Spanish as possible... but it all worked out.  We found one person and they might be coming to church next sunday. On this exchange we had a super awesome night with Diego's family! On the phone Diego kept telling me we had to come and pray for his kid who was 3 we got there and I was so worried because I had no help and I thought I was going to have to give a blessing in spanish but when we got there there were balloons and decorations everywhere for his little girls birthday.  He wanted me to pray for her birthday.  It was amazing and they were happy we were able to come and celebrate her birthday.  This week got to go to the 7th day Adventist church with a friend it wasn't too much different other than the preacher just talks the whole time then she came to our church on Sunday.  She loved it so hopefully she wants to come next week.  Other than that it was a pretty good week and it flew bye.  I Can't believe we're already 2 weeks from transfers!! It's been going way too fast.

HOW GOD WORKS

"Being sincerely Christlike is an even more important goal than being authentic."

This week we had 2 Exchanges and one with the zone leaders and one with an elder in Marryvill. Both were awesome and I learned so much. But first was zone conference which was way too long and sitting inside the church for like 6 hours is not recommended. The rest of the week just flew by. We found tons of people and saw so many miracles. First was the miracles of Franklin.  Franklin is 18 and is awesome he is trying to grow his relationship with Christ.  The way we found him was crazy. My comp Elder Flickinger found him on Facebook about 2 months ago and has been texting him trying to get his address for the longest time. We went and knocked on this random door and out of no where Franklin is there. It was crazy.  We taught him the first lesson and now he wants to come to church and it's crazy how God works. Later that night we found this guy named Jr who said he wants to keep taking lessons and go to church next week! We also finally saw this nonactive memeber who wants to start coming to church and wants her kids baptized. On one of my Exchanges we did service for 2 hours and there was so much snow outside, and I saw snowmobiles and I really wanted to go ask the guy if I could ride it, instead I gave him the book of Mormon.

SUPER BOWL

"Let us set aside our fears and live instead with joy, humility, hope, and a bold confidence that the Lord is with us.    Dieter F. Uchtdorf

What a game! The come back king ANDY REED. Everyone is going crazy, there was fireworks all night.  We got to watch the game which was amazing and super fun. It was kinda a boring ending with just a field goal but the rest of the game was really good. What else happened this week... we had 2 new people come to church, we got to teach the youth class which made me really happy because it wasn't with boring old guys.  And we found a couple people this week so hopefully they are ready. It snowed again Wednesday night. We had tons of people come to volleyball Friday night which was super fun and really funny seeing all these people play volleyball together.  The chiefs game was for sure the highlight and church.

THE LORD PROVIDED

"May we show increased kindness toward one another and may we ever be found doing the work of the Lord."

We had so many things go on I'm just going to do the highlights.  First Thursday we said goodbye to one of our roommates and the new Elder came in.  We get along really well and I'm super excited to spend all transfer with him. Another thing we did this week was move all our furniture and put all 4 beds in the same room. Next big thing was the wedding. It was so stressful before the wedding trying to get there whole family to the wedding because there is 12 of them and they don't have a car, but it all worked out. We had the wedding and the members killed it with all the decorations.  So many people were there and the it was perfect. We had the baptism right after and it was beautiful. I had the opportunity to baptize both of them and I felt the spirit so strong and Diego was so happy the second he came out of the water. But all in all the Lord provided for Micaela and Diego and everything was perfect.  After the baptism we had a great reception with the best Mexican food. Couldn't tell you what it was, but it was so good.  We then slept at the ZL's that night and had a nice camp fire and just chilled for the rest of the night. Sunday we had another 2 baptisms in the branch and had a huge dinner for breaking the fast. We also did the confirmation for both Micaela and Diego in sacrament.  It was a fun week with many miracles and blessings put in our path. Now it's time to teach all of Diegos kids and family because they all loved the baptism pray for Diegos whole family please 🙏  We are also playing basketball every morning now for an hour so that's a blessing for sure.

-The wedding and baptism!! I promise they're happy they just don't know the word "la sonrisa" (smile)
