The Lord was blessing us so much

 this week

"True disciples of Jesus Christ are willing to stand up, speak up, and be different from the people of the world."        -Russell M. Nelson

The time has finally come.  To start off the week we had the 4th of July and for those that don't know the latino community they go crazy on the fireworks. This city was on fire it was insane.  I've never heard and seen so many fireworks and this was during the day time... It also was pretty sketchy because people were driving around in cars throwing these mini Bombs (massive firecrackers) out their window and it would make the loudest sounds ever. I just wish we could have those in Utah.  We had to be home early that night... which was kinds lame, but we started a nice fire and cooked some hot dogs. It was a little tricky because we didn't have a lighter so we had to get creative and use the inside stove to light a piece of paper and run outside and throw it into the fire. It was a skill if you ask me.  Other than the 4th of July we found this amazing family named Wenceslao and they loved having us come over. We literally taught them 3 times this week and it was all from stopping the car in the middle of the street and yelling at them to come over... we were desperate at that point, because 3 lessons canceled.  The Lord has a plan. If he taught me one thing this transfer it was to have patience and be ok with God's timing. This family also came to church which was the biggest miracle ever. Ok  one of the best things that happened this week was meeting our new mission president and sister Sommerfeldt.  They are super super cool, and honestly I think it's going to be a really good change.  I'm super excited to see what happens.  He's a lot more traditional  talking to people face to face.  Sister Sommerfeldt was so awesome. She was so excited and somehow knew me... so that was a plus. She grew up in Holladay, but sadly went to Olympus... but she is actually so nice and we got to talk to her for like an hour while president was doing interviews individually. I'm super excited to see what happens.  It's going to be so good. This weekend we got to do baptisms for the dead with the ward which was so awesome.  Final thing, Church. Yes we finally got people to church.  Not only did we get that family but we got another part member family to come, and thus random guy from English class.  It was the greatest thing ever.  It finally felt like all the work we did was paying off.  The Lord was blessing us so much this week. We had about 7 people at church this week, but 2 of them were members that haven't been in a long time! So it was a crazy Sunday.  It was super stressful but also super fun to run around and make sure our friends felt comfortable.  That's about all I got for this week!
